I had a website built from scratch from a friend of mine who is a web designer / programmer, when it was first introduced to me I liked it and it seemed simple. After learning how it works and dealing with it for a few months I realized there was a lot of changes and additions that were needed, unfortunately he was not that experienced and could not fulfill my needs for the website.
I ended up having another friend of mine help me out who knows a lot more, I stayed with the original site that my previous friend created but a few changes and additions were added to it. I am much more happier with the outcome of the changes that have been made to the website, however there are still a few changes that need to be made but the programmer I am working with now is stating its to much work to do and I am better off looking into a “ready to use” site that is mainly complete and all I would need to do is add the products I am selling and I am ready to go.

My first mistake was dealing with two people who can barely speak and understand english, so that barrier is there and at times what I am saying is not being understood 100%, that could only lead to things not being done the right way or nothing being done at all.

I need to get this fixed, either fix the one I have now or look into the other two options that I mentioned above. I do not need or want something specatacular, I am looking for something simple for now. As time goes on and money is made I will invest more money into the site and upgrade it but for now I just want my site open to the public so I can start making some money already. Its been almost a year since I had my site first created and I have not yet opened it to the public, its still Under Construction.

I am looking for someone who knows about web design / programming / eCommerce webs stores, etc. I just want a site where customers can come and look for the item they want, add it to there cart and purchase it. A simple retail website where I can sell my Office Products.

Google Chrome browser and other Google products (Google voice, Google docs, Gmail, etc) helped me get multiple job offers very soon after I was laid-off from a company. Here is how.

When I was given notice of layoff from previous company, I did not have to think about my personal data(documents, spreadsheets, photos, contacts, bookmarks, browser extensions, passwords, etc) being on that company’s computers or that data getting lost, since it was all in my google account. For example, Contacts etc were at Google voice contacts, bookmarks and extensions etc were in my google chrome account.

All I had to do, after the lay-off, was head over immediately to Fry’s electronics and buy a new inexpensive laptop(AMD processor), which I got for $299+tax. It had a 15.6 inch screen and Internet capability, that was all I needed to download the Google chrome browser (and Google video chat plugin) onto, and do a login and sync (of bookmarks, extensions, passwords, theme, etc) , and voila – I was in my personalised google account again, and the URL search suggestions etc were meaningful to me.

Next, I had to create my resume on google docs and publish it. I got the link to the resume, which I sent out via my gmail account to various companies. The advantage of sending the link to Google document of my resume (instead of an actual Word document) was that not only did I not have to purchase the Microsoft Word program, but that sending the link to the Google document, would lead to lesser total disk space consumption for everyone, and I could modify my resume anytime, and all the folks who viewed my resume at Google docs site would always see the latest-and-greatest copy of my resume.

Since I had got my AT&T landline phone disconnected (was using my Google voice number on laptop as the main contact number) and did not have a company mobile phone any longer, I continued to my Google voice number as my contact phone number, so that I could answer incoming phone calls, view missed calls and listen to voice messages (which I could not do with my AT&T landline phone) all from my Gmail dashboard, and from any computer, since I happened to use the library computers also.

Anytime I would get an email or a missed call from any of these contacts, I would call them up in a couple of clicks right from gmail (using the Google voice “call phone” feature.)

I tried to keep my Inbox zero (ie delete all mails) that were not actionable, and the hyperthreads of conversations helped my quickly respond to thread, and delete the whole thread at once. This helped me send our multiple letters (with linked resume) to multiple folks, have phone calls with them at Gmail. And I would go to company websites and quickly submit resume and other personal details using Chrome auto-fill , which saved me time (and mental energy, which was very much needed then) and I was able to submit resume to lots of companies in a short amount of time.

Very soon, I landed multiple job offers. I sold off the laptop (and my data is in the Google Chrome account) so that when I login from my company computer or get a laptop from the new company again, I will have access to my data again at the new company.

I do not have a lot of work experience especially lately since I’ve spent pretty much the last 7 years being a SAHM, i do have a resume that consists entirely of costumer service experience but i want to get into the medical field i am not sure how to incorporate my medical schooling into my current resume, i want it to look impressive but sadly i know that with my prior work history impressive is going to be hard to do, there is a job i want to apply for asap so any help anyone can give would be great!!!!

I think my computer is infected with spyware, malware, or whatever. My background changes into white screen, and in the middle the screen, there is a window colored blue and orange.

In the top, it shows that

I also cannot access forum about antivirus like geekstogo and bleepingcomputer. Whenever I try to access that site, it shows Page cannot be found. Moreover, when I use the search engine, the link always lead to another website. For example I search Wikipedia at google, and click the first result (which is www.wikipedia.org). But then, it doesn’t direct to Wikipedia homepage. It directs to some weird site that sells antivirus program.

I was watching this piece of movie or show in spanish the other day, but I don’t know what it is? It is an American show. It started by saying it was created by Dick Wolf. It was a detective sort of thing and it started by an old lady (in New York) leading the cops to an apartment. Inside, they find a little 4 or 5 year old Chinese girl holding his brother, a 1 year old Chinese boy. They try to communicate with her but she only speaks Chinese. Then they call a Chinese speaking detective to talk to her and says her mother has left them for an unknown amount of time. They investigate the milk the girl has been giving his brother while the mother is absent and estimate about a week since her absence. Then they go to where the mother worked, a factory, and ask the women for any signs of her. One says she has been gone for a week for unknown reasons. She also tells them to talk to her sister, Lin May, I think. Then, she speaks to the girl and explains to the detectives something. Then, the Chinese speaking detective says she is lying. They ask her why she’s lying and says her sister, mother of the two children, was captured by some people she owed money to.Then they go to the boyfriends place and ask him for info. He tells them she called to pick up her purse she forgot at his place or job. Then they examine the purse and ask him where she bought it. Than they go to this place and arrest the guy who is selling them for being counterfeit. Later, the main detective finds Lin May beaten all up by the “mafia” people stating they have killed (decapitated) her sister, mother of the 2 kids. Later, they mention her neice, Ping also captured, I think, and shows them a picture of her, Ping, in a dress with a sad face. I think she was forced to wear it by the bad people. And thats where I left off. So is it a movie or tv program/serie? If you know, what is the name of it? It was created by Dick Wolf, but thats all I know.
