A lot of people are now getting into online businesses and online marketing either to supplement their ìreal worldî income or for it to become their primary source of income. Why? Because online marketing just provides them a lot of benefits!

First, you can reach just about anybody in the world who has Internet access if you market your products online. That means a wider market for you, which can translate to larger profits. Second, setting up an online business requires only a fraction of the cost required to set up an actual business establishment, which means a lot of savings for the business owner.

Another aspect that has attracted a lot of people towards online marketing is the fact that one doesnít have to have his own products to get started. In online marketing, one can start making a lot of money just by selling, or even by just trying to sell, other peopleís products. And getting started with this kind of marketing strategy is actually quite easy. All that one needs to do is to set up an agreement with an online retailer or merchant, and after everything is settled, one can immediately start making money by selling the merchantís or the retailerís products.

Incidentally, the most popular and the fastest growing method of selling other peopleís products online is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing, in its simplest definition, is a relationship between an online merchant or retailer, who has products to sell, and his affiliates, who are willing to promote the merchantís product on their website.

In a typical affiliate marketing set up, the merchant provides his affiliates with banners and text ads that links to his site. The affiliates will then get these ads posted on their website and they get paid whenever traffic or sales is directed to the merchantís website. Affiliates are often paid on commission basis, although other online merchants would opt to pay a fixed fee for the affiliateís compensation.

Starting to make money online with affiliate marketing is relatively quick and easy. All that one has to do is to sign up as an affiliate for an online company that offers affiliate programs. An alternative method, and usually an easier one, is to sign up as a member of an affiliate networkóa network that hosts a variety of affiliate programs for different online merchants or retailers. Signing up is usually free, although other companies and networks may require you to pay a particular fee. Such fees, however, are made as payment for additional services that the company may render, like providing you with tools and assistance to jumpstart your online business.

When you sign up with an affiliate marketing program, you are usually required to fill out a form containing information about yourself. Some affiliate programs may also require you to present the URL of your website and describe its contents. This will allow the retailers to verify that you actually have a website with contents that are relevant to their products. Some affiliate programs, however, wonít require you to have a website. After filling out the form and all, you are then allowed to choose the affiliate programs you want to promote.

After signing up with an affiliate program and being an actual affiliate, you are now ready to start making a lot of money by selling other peopleís product online. How do you make money? There are actually a number of ways for you to earn money as an affiliate, and most of these ways depends on the type of affiliate marketing program youíve gotten into.

Many affiliate marketing programs compensate their affiliates in either of three ways: pay-per-click (PPC), pay-per-sale (PPS), or pay-per-lead (PPL). In pay-per-click affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever he directs traffic to the merchantís site. PPS and PPL affiliate marketing programs work rather differently. In PPS, the affiliate only gets paid when his referral converts into an actual sale. In typical PPS affiliate programs, the affiliate would usually get 15% to 20% commission for each conversion. PPL affiliate programs work the same way, although affiliates are paid a fixed fee whenever his referral converts into a lead for the company.

Some affiliate marketing programs are two-tier programs, wherein the affiliate is also allowed to recommend other affiliates to the merchant. In such affiliate programs, the affiliate would not only be paid for the traffic or sales that he would direct to the merchantís site but also for the traffic or sales directed by the affiliates who signed up with the program through his recommendation.

Yet another way of earning more profits with affiliate marketing is through residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs are affiliate programs where the affiliate gets paid a number of times for as long as the merchant keeps the customer the affiliate has referred to his site. One form of residual program gets the affiliate paid a commission every time the referred customer purchases something on the merchantís site. Another form of residual affiliate program gets the affiliate paid a percentage every month for as long as the company keeps the referred customer.

With a lot of options available and a lot of ways to earn money, affiliate marketing is undoubtedly the most popular and the easiest way to make money by selling other peopleís products online. As to how much money one can get from affiliate marketing actually depends on the affiliate. A dedicated and hardworking affiliate would certainly get more from the program compared to those affiliates who would simply sign up and forget about the program later.

That is the reason why MLK’s father told him not to marry that white woman, he knew MANY blacks(maybe not the sell-outs on here) would NEVER follow someone like that.

Why are people allowed to manufacture lead bricks for occupational use when the extreme dangers are known?

Aside from its uses in radiology, the application of lead in occupations, to me, seems arbitrary and despicable. Why do they still produce “lead bricks,” “lead sheets,” “lead solder,” and so forth?

If you even touch a lead brick for one second, lead is absorbing through your skin, penetrating into your blood stream, and circulating through your body to bind itself with your organs and doing damage – particularly to your BRAIN. Knowing that, why are these products allowed to be sold?

I’ve heard that the actual element of lead is innoculous and does not accumulate in the human body at all, and that it are the other contaminants and things in the products that are do damage in the body. Is this true? Does this mean that a “lead brick” isn’t harmful since it’s in its hardened, elemental form?

I’m an Indian 23 male. Presently working as an office boy in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As everybody I too had a lot of expectation about my life. I was a very good boy in my school days. I could pass my SSLC (10’Th) exam in a first class mark. But by many a reason I couldn’t perform in my +2 (12’Th) class. After my +2 I had a 2 to 3year’s break in my education. During that period I went in 2 an institute where I could learn Photography & Photoshop. Though I went 2 learn Photography I seemed 2 have interested in Photoshop. This is my problem (irresolute mind) that I would like 2 discuss with U. But by that I could be an accomplished Photo designer with short cut keys (a good speed). I don’t know what I lacked 2 not continue in the field. Then for a while I joined in an institute 2 learn X-Ray welding. Though I finished the course I didn’t even asked for my certificate by the reason some one told me that I would not be able 2 get a related job in Gulf countries with out a minimum experience of 5 to 10 years. I didn’t even enquire whether it was true or not. This is my problem (irresolute mind) that I would like 2 discuss with U.
Within this time my mind longed too much 2 get higher education. Then after 3 years I went in 2 my +2 school 2 buy my Transfer certificate & related papers!! I started 2 study again for BA English Degree course. I wrote my 1’st year exam well & yet the result published. Soon I wrote the exam I saw the advertisement that my company (supplying office boys) published in a news paper. By my lack of looking before leap I fell in their sub contracting trap 2 a very small salary. Now I understand something that caused me 2 fail in my life ambitions. But yet I couldn’t get a clear picture. This is my problem (irresolute mind) that I would like 2 discuss with U.
But U can’t blame me for all this completely. Because for all this impatiently moving, I had a reason that due 2 the bad debits that my family has in various banks. We have 2 make huge money for the interest itself every year. So I wished 2 overcome all this problems all of a sudden by getting a job abroad. Any way now I learned a lesson that we can’t make money with out a good profession or well education. So now I wish 2 try once more in those fields. Now I have decided 2 leave my family in a crisis by selling our home instead of bearing those bad debits & interests (only for a small period-after I got a good job can’t I replant them 2 an own house from a rent house?) Here is I need Ur helps 2 lead me in 2 light.
What I need 2 study now? Should I continue my BA? 2 tell U frankly now I have interest in neither education nor Photography & Photoshop but in computers.
Before U answer me 2 the question that “can I become a software engineer or even a computer operator”? U may need 2 know my stand in computers. I came 2 know about computers during my Photographical studies. Then itself I had too much interest in short cut keys. If so now I have a good speed 2 do any kind of program even without mouse. I mean that even though I see a program that I haven’t seen in my life before soon I will be able 2 understand this is this & that. By this interest itself I could learn a lot of short cut keys as well as Commands. Now what I’m telling U that I am able 2 operate a system & all the common programs like MS office, excel, etc without a mouse. I clearly know that these things only are not a qualification 2 be a software engineer. Then what I’m asking U that “do U believe I’m able 2 be an s/ware eng? If so what should I do? Or do U see any other field suitable for me? Or should I continue the job that I’m in now & try 2 solve the bank debits with this small salary & help my parents 2 not desert in 2 a rent house? Hurry pls advise me, I don’t know any thing what I should do

My company specializes in Investment Education, and we have a large team. I was put in charge of finding leads of people that have recently attended a real estate investment seminar. I have been searching and calling for 2 weeks now and cannot find anything. All the lead companies only sell generalized lists. What I need is very specific, and if you know a company that can meet my needs you will be helping me and my job vastly. Thank You for your help.

ebay selling help people think i miss lead them?

i recently sold infromation on ebay, it was legit and i wasn’t doing anything wrong.
but a few people are asking when i sent the item to then.
there is a link to my listing at the bottom
some people thing that i have misslead them into buy the xbox wireless adpter but it clearly says that i am selling information.
some people want there money back but i dont think it is fair
what do you think?

Why don’t people care about the American Car Industry?

Everywhere I look, I keep hearing people talk about how the government should just let Ford, GM, and Chrysler die. My question is why would anyone ever wish for that to happen?

I’m a big fan of Capitalism, I adhere strongly to the belief that companies should be held accountable, however, in the situation of GM, Ford, and Chrysler, I honestly think the government needs to step in. The government needs to protect itself from foreign influences and it needs to protect its key core businesses from international takeover.

We all know that the Japanese government helps out its car industry like Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, they have very good government backing therefore they are very strong. For instance, you would never see a foreign company being allowed to buyout Toyota Motor Company even if that hypothetical company could afford it, why? Because the Japanese government would never allow it, just like France would never allow Boeing to buyout Airbus.

This lead to an unfair marketplace for the American Auto Industry. Now, had our government stepped in and supported our Auto Industry, I think the industry as a whole would look so much different today. Unfortunately it didn’t and GM, Ford, and Chrysler were forced to focus on SUV’s because that’s what sold during the 90’s, and unlike Toyota, GM, Ford, and Chrysler, did not have the deep pockets to fully support next-gen passenger car program as well as a money-making SUV program. And as you know, money is necessary to maintain future operations, so GM was forced to devote most of its resources to making the cars people wanted to drive at the time.

Had the Big 3 had government support/aid during the 90’s perhaps we would have gotten a vehicle like the 2008 Malibu and CTS much earlier. However, if GM had decided to focus it’s attention on the cars that it needed rather than the cars that people wanted, it would have quickly gone bankrupt.

And right now as we speak rumors of bankruptcy are heard throughout the market place, as well as rumors of the end of the Big 3.

This would be one of the worst things to happen to the American Economy during a good economic period. If it happens now in our current economic state, it will be disastrous.

GM directly employes what, about 200,000+ (maybe less since all the recent layoffs) and I know Ford and Chrysler employ quite a few workers as well, but let’s focus on GM.

So if GM dies, that’s 200,000 for the unemployment office. However, that number doesn’t include those that will become jobless as the result of the domino effect a GM bankruptcy will have on other companies.

GM has the most dealerships with it’s many different brands, if these were all to suddenly close, we can add more people to the unemployment line. In addition to dealerships, many part manufacturers have GM as a primary customer ( think American Axle, Allison, Eaton, Delphi, Bose, AC Delco, etc), then there are those companies that contract with GM for vehicle delivery,etc. And as a result of this sudden unemployment, forclosure rates could go up at an unprecedented rate as those no unemployed can no longer afford to stay in their houses.

A GM bankruptcy wouldn’t just affect GM workers and GM Fans, it would affect the jobs of a lot of people around the country. If you thought our current unemployment rate was high, a GM bankruptcy would make todays numbers look small.

In fact, a GM bankruptcy wouldn’t just affect American workers, but workers in Canada, Britain, China, India, all places where GM has factories.

People blame GM and other companies for building factories in other countries and bringing those cars here, well, who can blame them? With UAW fighting for $25+per hour wages for High School educated people, I’d move my factory to a place where I can pay the people what they truly deserve to be payed rather than what some labor union tells them that they are entitled to be payed.

The government really needs to step back and take a look at the bigger picture regarding the Big 3. A decision regarding a “bailout” of the Big 3 will either make the presidency of whoever wins in November, not to mention it may make or break the future of our country as an economic/world power.

Perhaps the old say really is true, “What’s good for General Motors, is good for America”.

Can people still buy the lead tainted Lucas candy?

I don’t like the new stuff they’re selling in stores and it would be amazing if someone still had some of the Lucas with lead. I’m probably gonna get dumb comments on how I shouldn’t be asking for the stuff because it’s dangerous, but I don’t care. People who think it’s dumb, don’t leave a comment because I could care less about your opinion. Anyways, does anyone have Lucas?

How many people believe china is trying to harm or destroy us by selling deficient and defective products ?

With the recalls from cat and dog food, tires, and now lead based paint and choking parts on toys sold to our children. It is obvious that the United States should ban all trade with China.
But in reality it will never happen because so many products that we use everyday are imported from there. I have been making a conscience effort to check labels and tags to see where a product comes from and do try to buy American when at all possible. Does anybody else feel this way also?

Why are republicans selling the American people to Big Oil? Real Energy independence or Big money for them?

Republicans blocked a proposal Thursday to tax the oil industry an additional $29 billion, while the Senate moved closer to an agreement on raising automobile fuel economy for the first time in nearly 20 years.

The tax package was aimed at channeling billions of dollars to subsidize windmills, hybrid cars and other alternative energy resources. But many Republicans said it was too harsh on the oil industry and could lead to less production and higher gasoline prices.

The struggle over the tax provision signaled that Democrats may have a hard time pushing through the broader energy bill, which tilts heavily toward promoting energy conservation and renewable fuels and away from support for traditional fossil fuels.

As the debate over taxes reflected the Senate’s division, senators were said to be close to completing work on a compromise on automobile fuel economy that would garner enough votes to overcome strong auto industry opposition.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., chastised Republicans for caving into pressure from oil companies in blocking the tax provisions, but said he planned to press forward with the overall energy legislation, hoping to finish late Friday.

“We have (auto fuel economy) standards in this bill. This is a good bill. There’s a lot of good stuff in this bill,” said Reid. He said work was under way on a compromise aimed at gaining wider support.

“I can live with either one of them,” Reid told reporters.

The talks were believed to be close to an agreement that would require automakers to increase the fuel efficiency of new vehicles to 35 miles per gallon by 2020, but abandon a provision that would have required 4 percent annual efficiency improvements after that. The automakers had complained vigorously about the 4 percent increase, saying they would be required to meet 52 mpg for cars and SUVs by 2030, a mandate they said they couldn’t meet.

A group of senators, including Michigan Democrats Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow, have pressed for consideration of an even less stringent proposal that would let SUVs and small trucks achieve just 30 mpg and postpone the mandate to 2025.

On taxes, Democrats came three votes shy, 57-36, of the 60 votes needed to overcome a threatened GOP filibuster and add the massive tax package to the energy bill. It called for $32 billion in tax breaks for renewable and clean energy programs and energy conservation, all but about $3 billion paid for by oil taxes.

Republican senators contended that the nearly $29 billion in additional taxes over 10 years on major oil companies would have led to reduced production and higher gasoline prices, an argument Democrats rejected, noting the largest oil companies earned $111 billion last year.

Reid said the industry stood to make $1 trillion in profits over the 10 years when the $29 billion in new oil taxes would have been collected. He expressed doubt the measure could be revived and put onto the Senate bill, but left open getting it added later, probably when Senate and House versions will be consolidated.

“It’s not over,” said Reid.

A $16 billion tax package — largely mirroring the priorities in the Senate legislation but smaller — advanced from the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday, to be added to a House energy bill later this summer.

The massive tax measure marked a sharp turn from longtime congressional support of the oil industry to promoting alternative energy development and moving toward energy sources that would help deal with the growing concerns over global warming.

But Republicans said it tilted too far in favor of renewables and conservation at the expense of the oil companies.

“When you put a tax on a business it gets passed on to consumers,” argued Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz. “Instead of reducing gasoline prices, this bill is going to add to the cost of gasoline.”

Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., whose Finance Committee crafted the tax package, said the incentives for renewable and alternative fuels would “help wean ourselves away from OPEC … from these very high gas prices.”

The tax changes would have channeled $11 billion over 10 years into development of renewable fuels such as ethanol, biodiesel and power from wind turbines. It provides an additional $18 billion in other tax breaks — from tax credits to clean and renewable energy bonds — to support improvements in energy efficiency, clean coal technology, development of gas-electric hybrid cars that could be plugged into the national power grid and other alternative energy programs.

It would have rescinded a tax break given to oil companies in 2004 that was primarily aimed at helping domestic manufacturing; increased taxes paid under an oil spill liability law; and eliminated existing tax credits involving foreign oil production.

Another measure also would have imposed a new excise tax on oil produced from the Gulf of Mexico to recoup $10.7 billion in royalties the government has been unable to retrieve because of flawed oil leasing contracts issued in 1998-99
